Jo is a Clinical and Forensic psychologist who has worked in public health, private practice, and community mental health affiliated services for over a decade. Jo is a trauma therapist who views recovery as a wholistic process; she enjoys weaving brain and body awareness into therapy so that long lasting positive changes can occur.

About Jo
​Jo is a Clinical and Forensic psychologist based in Sydney’s Inner West. ​She offers high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to adults and adolescents. Jo has over a decade of experience working across general and forensic mental health, private practice, and specialist rehabilitation services for torture and trauma survivors. Jo is deeply committed to social justice, equitable access to care, and culturally responsive and inclusive psychological practice.

Jo’s therapeutic approach integrates a deep understanding of the brain and nervous system, helping clients build greater coping capacity, emotional regulation, and psychological flexibility to adapt to life’s challenges. Jo views recovery as a holistic process and she enjoys weaving brain and body awareness into therapy so that long lasting changes can occur, and clients feel seen, heard, and respected.

As an experienced Psychology Board Approved Supervisor, team leader, mentor, and multidisciplinary collaborator, Jo works with a broad range of clients that includes professionals, students, and private-practice clients seeking growth, clarity, and purposeful change in their lives. Jo also works closely with vulnerable populations, that may include survivors of torture, genocide, sexual exploitation and trafficking, as well as First Nations peoples, and refugees, and asylum seekers. Jo is experienced in working with vicarious trauma, first responders and military personnel with PTSD, juvenile and adult offenders linked to the criminal justice system, and individuals from CALD backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ communities, and any individual navigating legal, systemic, and judicial challenges.

Jo provides psychological treatment, diagnosis, assessment and report writing fit for legal and court purposes. Please get in touch to enquire further. Jo has been a legal expert in court and specialises in trauma, multicultural psychology, and refugee and asylum seeker issues.

Supervision Services
Jo has experience providing clinical supervision to clinical psychology registrars, social workers, and masters level psychology students. Please get in touch if you require supervision services.

The Timbermill, Level One is a co-working boutique space based in Marrickville. Please enter through the green metal gate and go up the stairs to find Suite 5.
Kensho Psychology is on your right as you come up to the top floor.
There is a reception area and black couch where you can take a seat if you arrive early.
